The boys are getting big!

Just wanted to quickly update for who ever reads this, if anyone. The boys just had their well visit appoitments today at the doctors office. Here are the stats! Micah is now 13lbs 2oz and 24inches long. That's 75% for weight and 85% for height, his head is only in the 45% though. Noah on the other hand is 37lbs and 36inches...he is off the charts for everything. The doctor said that Noah is the average height of a 27 month old and the average weight of a 3 or 4 year old. Yes he is one BIG boy.
Noah isn't walking yet but we are hoping he starts that soon. He says a couple of words like will tell you what an owl and a pig say! It's pretty cute!
Micah is smiling and cooing away. He's getting bigger and changing every day!
We are truly blessed to have such amazing boys!!!
Gotta run though, Micah is starting to get mad (darn those hiccups) and Noah is waking up from his nap!

New video of Micah and Noah

Just wanted to take a minute to put up a video of Noah and Micah. Noah is 14 months now and Micah just turned 1 month on Saturday. It's going by so fast. Hopefully i'll have time to post more soon!

Alright, well last time I had a whole bunch of time during the labor to blog...not so much this time. Melinda wasn't feeling right since about 4am this morning. By the time I got up to go to work we were both pretty convinced that labor was on its way. We got to the hospital around 8:45am, waters broke around 9:45, Melinda rested a bit, then starting at about 11:10 she began to push....3 times....then little Micah Vaughn Flick was born at 11:17am weighing in at 8lbs 3 oz, 21 and 1/2 inches long with lots of dark hair at St. Luke's Hospital.

God has blessed us with 2 wonderful baby boys. Noah born last year on 10/10/07 and reborn at baptism on 11/10/07 and now Micah born on 11/13/08. We truly serve a wonderful and awesome God!

Psalm 139:14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Here's Micah's namesake: Micah 5:2 - "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

Soon to come for Micah - 1 Peter 3: 21: and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Noah turned one last month

Well our baby turned one last month. (10-10 to be exact). And he is growing and changing every single day! Today he learned how to open his bedroom door and then push it so it swings open. Not so much of a good thing as he's not walking yet and hasn't quite figured out the whole balance thing 100%. He's working on it and doing great! I don't blame him for not wanting to walk as he can get anywhere within a matter of seconds crawling. :) He's amazing!!

He had his 1 year doctor appoitment on the 13th of October and it was horrible for me (mom) and I don't think he enjoyed it much either. Noah got 4 shots and had to get blood work done to check lead levels since we live in an old house, it was so sad and I felt so horrible allowing someone to hurt my baby, but I am glad we did it as I would rather have him be in pain for a couple of minutes than for a long time due to me not getting him the things he needs to protect him! At this appointment they of course weighed him and all...he came in at a great big 34lbs 9oz and 33 inches long. He is off the charts still, i'm not sure he will ever slow down in the growing department but that's okay I love my big baby!!!!!

Noah is enjoying playing with his trucks (like always) and loves to dance whenever he hears music! It's so cute. I'll have to try to get it taped so everyone can see!

I only have 16 days left until I am due with baby # 2 or better known as Micah. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival and praying (at least I am) that he deciedes to show up sooner than later as I am honestly very tired of being pregnant and all the aches and pains that come with it. I am also very sad to have to give up on some of the one on one time that Noah and I get once Micah arrives. I'm not so sure how Noah's going to do going from being an "Only" to Big Brother. Hopefully he'll adjust fairly quickly and enjoy his baby brother!!!! He just doens't quite understand the whole concept of shairing yet! Haha!

Seth is still working full time at the Seminary and going to school part time. He (we) will be going on vicarage next summer/fall and we cannot wait!!! It's about time right?!?! Ha. He is such an amazing dad and husband. Noah gets the biggest smiles on his face and laughs as soon as he sees "daddy". It's awesome to know that they have such a bond! I look forward to seeing how the relationship continues to grow as Noah gets older and as we add another one to the mix! :o)

Alright well that is all for now. I've got to get back to bed. It's 3am and I'm up only because my lower back hurts so I thought i'd try to do something productive!

11 months

Noah turned 11 months old on the 10th. He is contiuning to change everyday. He has mastered the art of crawling but hasn't figured out the walking yet. (which i am fine with!!!) Noah and Addie have finally become friends, it has taken 11 months, but they are finally playing together! Check out the videos to see how much fun they have together!

We get excited about the craziest things!

So as parents I have realized that we get excited about the craziest things. While Seth and I have known how to crawl for years it is awesome to watch Noah learn these new skills. He is slowly but surely mastering the art of crawling and standing up without our help. Yet again we are amazed at how fast he has grown and changed. So BIG

Noah had his 9 month doctors appoitment today. He is HUGE. I know I know i've said this before but really he is.

Weight: 32lbs 5oz
Height: 31 1/4 inch
Head: I have no idea other than HUGE

He is off the charts still but the dr. said he is growing fine and he is developmentally right where he is supposed to be. :o) Most 2 year olds are not as heavy as Noah though and it's getting tougher and tougher on me to carry this little guy around the bigger and bigger I get.

Noah is learning how to crawl...he likes to army crawl...but today he did move forward one step (crawl) which is a first for us. Yesterday he pulled himself up onto his knees. I know we are in trouble soon, he is going to be a monster and into everything. Hopefully he will become less and less frustrated though once he can do what he wants to do. Or maybe not because then I will always be trying to get him to stay out of things.

I am now 21 1/2 weeks along. We are still struggling with what to name Noah's little brother. We have two names picked out. Miles Joseph or Elijah Voughn. I like both of them as does Seth, good thing we have 19 more weeks to figure it out! Baby flick or Jalapeno as we like to call him has started moving around more and more and likes to kick me, i think this is his way of letting me know that he is doing just fine where he is and to not worry. Ha..tell any parent not to worry and I am sure they will laugh at you as this just comes with the job!!!

Well it is nap time for both Noah and I, I just wanted to share with everyone how big our little guy is getting! Do they ever stop growing and changing?

Noah is going to have a little....

Little BROTHER!!!! We just found out yesterday morning that we are having another little boy. We are so excited, now we just have to figure out the name!! Any suggestions?!?!? The baby is looking very healthy and happy, sucking his thumb and moving around like crazy. He had no problem showing us that he was a boy! I'll try to post ultrasound pictures of our little one as soon as they get scanned into the computer!!!

oh and of course this little one is already measuring ahead of schedule for size...he is weighing in around 10oz around...at least 2 weeks ahead of where most babies his age are at! I guess we'll have another BIG one...which is just fine with us...more to love and hug!!!

Pots and Pans

Today while I was making baby food I brought Noah into the kitchen to play with pots and pans as he does not like to be left alone anymore, he needs to be able to see mommy and daddy at all times! He had alot of fun playing with them but I think he liked chewing on the wire wisk most of all. We pray his two top teeth come in soon so that he doesn't hurt as much!!!
